Petite Jalapeño Brie Cheese
Petite Mustard is the newest addition to our Petite Classic Collection of small format cheeses. This mustard cheese starts with the renowned Marin French Cheese Co. Triple Crème Brie recipe as its base. Whole black and brown mustard seeds get added to the cheese curds as they are gently poured into the small format cheese molds. Tradition mixes with exciting new ingredients and the result is a creamy French brie style cheese with crunchy pops of texture infused with slightly spicy flavor. A classic combo with cheese and charcuterie, a spread of whole grain or dijon mustard compliments a board nicely and is often eaten alongside a variety of cheeses. If you haven’t tried a mustard cheese before, we strongly recommend you try this one!

Two items that are already frequently paired come together as one in our Petite Mustard cheese. The contrast of creaminess and crunch, delicate milk flavor and mellow, slightly sweet mustard spice opens up an opportunity to explore diverse accompaniments.
The slight spice of this mustard cheese welcomes fuller bodied white wines like a buttery Chardonnay or Pinot Gris. When in doubt, what’s more classic than a French brie style cheese and a French wine like an aromatic Viognier?
Mustard cheese is a dream come true for beer lovers. From German style lagers to English style Ales, or American IPAs, it’s hard to find a bad beer pairing with our Petite Mustard Brie. You might need a flight or multiple tasting options to choose your beverage of choice; we know it’s hard work, but somebody has to do it.
Mustard, cheese, cured meats, some pickles or olives and you already have all you need for a delicious cheeseboard. Fresh or pickled onions, radishes, and rye bread are delicious add-ons for a savory board that can be a meal in itself.
We have some real mustard fans on the team who love to add this cheese to any sandwich. Our favorite staff choice has to be swapping out the Swiss cheese for Marin French Cheese Co. Petite Mustard on a Reuben with all the fixings: corned beef, sauerkraut, and Russian dressing covered in the melty cheese with pops of peppery seeds.
If you want to be the star of the next family barbeque, try adding this aromatic cheese to your homemade burgers. You can follow your normal patty recipe and simply add the mustard cheese right before the burger comes off for a luscious topping. If you feel your grilling skills are up to it, completely wrap the patty around a small wedge of our Petite Mustard Brie and then grill for a cheese stuffed burger that is bursting with flavor.
